A Private Neighborhood on the Lake!

The concept was to develop a private, gated neighborhood in west Shreveport that would be free of the sounds of the city and yet still be in the city, with a private lake for fishing and beauty.  Hideaway Harbor Estates was originally conceived in 1986 as a project of a developer who envisioned the private lake neighborhood. 

He bought the property, built the dam and dug out what would become Hideaway Lake before troubles fell upon his business and the property sat idle for a period of time, before Ken Lawler of E & L Development purchased the property with the intent to develop it as the subdivision that it has become.
